What is the source of the handicap table?
The handicaps used in the Illinois Valley relay were
derived from the handicap table computed by Gordon Pitz
for the River to River Relay. Gordon derived his figures
using data from the National Running Data database.

What if I think the handicaps are incorrect?
If you find an obvious math or typing error we will
make the appropriate corrections. Otherwise, the table
is law. Because every team is able to review the handicap
table before deciding what division to enter we are
not going to be at all interested in complaints after
the race.
